Understanding Reconstitution
Retatrutide is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed sterile glass vials. In this solid state, the peptide is highly stable, but it cannot be measured or utilized in assays. To prepare the compound for study, researchers must reconstitute the powder by dissolving it in a sterile solvent—typically Bacteriostatic Water (0.9% Benzyl Alcohol).
Achieving the correct concentration is vital. Over-dilution makes it difficult to draw precise micro-doses, while under-dilution can result in concentrated doses that are difficult to measure accurately on standard U-100 insulin syringes.
